One-to-One · Sound Therapy Session

A session curated around where you actually are right now

Not a playlist. Not an algorithm. A carefully arranged sequence of sounds chosen for you, with a brief written reflection on what was chosen and why.

What this session offers

An hour that does something a playlist can't

After a long working day, or in that restless stretch before sleep, or on one of those afternoons when concentration has quietly left — sometimes what you need isn't more noise-cancelling. You need something that was actually put together for you.

A quieter evening

The session is timed and paced to ease a transition — from the day's demands into something slower and softer.

Something to return to

Your programme arrives via a private playback link that stays available. Revisit it on the days you need it most.

A brief written reflection

A short note accompanies every session — explaining what was chosen, the pacing decisions, and how to revisit the programme over coming weeks.

The situation many people find themselves in

You've tried putting something on. It didn't quite land.

Music streaming platforms offer more listening hours than anyone could absorb in a lifetime. And yet, when you open one at the end of a taxing day, the sheer volume of choice can feel like a task in itself. You scroll past dozens of playlists — "Calm," "Focus," "Relax" — and none of them quite match where you actually are.

That's not a personal failing. It's a structural limitation. Those playlists were made for an imagined average listener, not for the specific texture of your Tuesday evening or the particular weight you're carrying this week.

Generic playlists don't account for sensitivity, time of day, or what the day held

Scrolling to find something "right" adds friction when you're already depleted

Jarring transitions in automated queues disrupt the settling-in effect before sleep

How this session works

Someone does the choosing for you — with your situation in mind

The session begins with a short questionnaire — usually five to seven questions about your current state, what you're hoping to move toward, and any sensitivities around certain sounds or textures. From that, a practitioner arranges a sequence that has a shape: an opening, a middle, a close. Not just tracks placed side by side, but a journey with considered transitions.

What goes into the curation

  • Ambient pieces that fit the pace of your current state rather than where you want to end up
  • Breath-led tones that work with the body's natural settling rhythm without drawing attention to themselves
  • Natural soundscapes from Japan's quieter environments — forest interiors, temple precincts, coastal edges at low tide
  • Transitions chosen to be imperceptible, so the programme moves without announcing itself

What the questionnaire covers

  • How the day has felt — not details, just a general texture: demanding, scattered, flat, busy
  • What you're hoping the session helps with — unwinding, sleep preparation, settling concentration
  • Any sounds that feel uncomfortable — high frequencies, certain instruments, synthetic textures
  • Preferred listening length — whether you have forty minutes or two hours

What it feels like

Quiet from the first track

There's nothing to configure. You receive a private link, you put on headphones or open a speaker at a comfortable volume, and you let it run. The programme has already done the thinking. You don't need to skip anything, adjust anything, or make any further decisions. That's the point.

Step one

The questionnaire arrives

Within a short time of your enquiry, you'll receive five to seven questions by email. Nothing lengthy — most people complete it in under five minutes.

Step two

The session is prepared

A practitioner reviews your answers and builds the programme. You receive a private playback link along with a brief written note about the choices made.

Step three

You listen at your pace

The link stays available. You can return to the same session on evenings when something similar is needed — no expiry, no pressure to use it quickly.

The investment

One session, ¥12,000

This is a single session, with no subscription or recurring commitment. You pay once, you receive your programme, and it stays with you. If you'd like another session at a later point — with a different context or a different need — that's always available.

The investment reflects the time that goes into it: the questionnaire review, the curation work, the transitions, and the written reflection. It isn't something assembled quickly.

What's included

  • Short questionnaire (5–7 questions) on your current state and preferences
  • One curated programme of ambient pieces, breath-led tones, and natural soundscapes
  • Private playback link with no expiry date
  • Written reflection on what was chosen and how to revisit the programme over coming weeks
  • No subscription, no recurring billing — a single purchase

How we approach it

Curation as a considered practice

Sound therapy as a wellbeing support draws on a long-standing understanding that specific acoustic properties — tempo, frequency, texture, silence — have measurable effects on nervous system activity. We don't make clinical claims. But the relationship between sound and how we feel is not subtle. It's something most people know from experience, even if they haven't had reason to think about it deliberately.

40–120

Minutes per session

Programme length is shaped around your preferred listening window, from a shorter unwinding sequence to a longer pre-sleep programme.

5–7

Questionnaire questions

Enough to give a clear picture of your current state and sensitivities — not so many that completing it becomes an effort.

1–2

Days to delivery

The programme is typically ready within one to two working days of receiving your questionnaire. We take the time it takes to do it properly.

Our commitment to you

If the session doesn't feel right for you, we'd like to know

Sound is subjective. What works well for one person might not land for another, even when it's been put together with care. If you receive your session and feel that something wasn't well-matched to your questionnaire, reach out. We'll revisit the curation and send an adjusted programme.

There's no complicated process to this. A short message explaining what felt off is enough for us to understand where the programme missed, and to put together something better.

No-obligation enquiry

Getting in touch doesn't commit you to anything. If you'd like to ask a question about whether this session is right for your situation, we're glad to hear from you first.

Revisit without expiry

The programme link doesn't expire. You can return to it on the days you need it — six months from now, or longer.

Adjustment offer

If something in the programme didn't fit, we'll look at it again and deliver a revised version. That's part of the service.

A short message is all it takes

The first step is simply letting us know you're interested. You don't need to fill in the questionnaire yet, or decide on anything particular. Just send a note — even a few words about what you're hoping for is enough to start a conversation.
